As we have already mentioned, the Bengali Aiburobhat is an occasion that happens just before the wedding day. “Aiburobhat” is a Bengali word that refers to the last meal that you will be enjoying as a bachelor or maiden. Rituals Followed For a Bengali Aiburobhat

Blessing
The couple or the bride and groom are showered with a lot of blessings before they start enjoying the extravagant meal. This is usually done by the elders in the family who bless the bride and groom for a happy married life. It is believed in Bengali rituals that blessings from the elders can make life much smoother and extremely important before they begin the new journey ahead.
Arti
The bride and groom are given the best treatment on this day and the onus behind the occasion is to bless them for a happy future ahead. Hence before they start eating, the ones arranging the Aiburobhat will arrange for an Arati. Here usually a diya is lit and placed on a plate. It is believed that taking an arti ensures that there is nothing negative around the new couple.

Finally, no wedding ritual is going to be ever complete without exchanging gifts. The same stands true for Aiburobhat as well. The bride and groom are usually given small gifts like a saree or kurta. However, what remains stagnant for every Aiburobhat is a host of good food along with sweets as mandatory.
